Born in Perugia in 1978, he moved to Bologna in 1997 to attend the DAMS and the Accademia di Belle Arti where he received his degree in decoration and ornamentation. His seven-month stay in Berlin in 2002 drew him closer to photography and upon his return to Italy, he moved to Milan after receiving a scholarship to study at the Italian Institute of Photography.
